It’s now been confirmed that we’ll get to see the first gameplay of Mortal Kombat 1 as part of Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest show, set to take place on Thursday, June 8. Depending on which version of the game you get, you can get your hands on some exclusive skins, and even a real-life 16.5-inch model of Liu Kang.

NetherRealm has declared that there will be an online stress test for Mortal Kombat 1 ahead of its release. The last game, Mortal Kombat 11, did have a number of complaints about the performance on Nintendo Switch, so we hope this game can tackle those criticisms head on.
There was no news on the graphics engine used, so we may well see a return of Unreal Engine 3, which powered the last game.
